Real Stories From People Finding Their Way Through Major Life Change
Different stories.
Different transitions.
The same deeper movement: from feeling lost, stuck, or uncertain toward more clarity, self-trust, and a stronger sense of who they are now.
The people below came to coaching at different points in their lives – after burnout, breakup, redundancy, uncertainty, or a deeper sense that something needed to change.
Their stories are different, but the pattern is similar: making sense of what had changed, reconnecting with what mattered and who they were becoming, and finding a grounded way forward.
These stories are not promises or guarantees. They are examples of what can happen when someone has space, structure, and support during a major life transition.
From burnout and misalignment to building his own path
After stepping away from a career job that no longer felt aligned, Matt came to coaching feeling stuck, frustrated, and unsure how to move forward. Through coaching, he rebuilt confidence, clarified what he wanted, and began taking decisive steps toward a more self-directed path.
From Games Industry Burnout to Exploring More Meaningful Work
After seven years in the games industry, a layoff gave Shuvo space to question what he really wanted from work. Through coaching, he explored his values, processed burnout around his art career, and began to see how his desire for purpose, service and meaningful impact could point toward teaching. By the end of our sessions, he had more clarity, more accountability, and practical next steps – including experience days and volunteering – to test whether this new direction truly fit.
From feeling lost and disconnected to grounded and more self-trusting
When James started coaching, he was feeling low, isolated and stuck – spending a lot of time gaming, struggling with motivation, and finding it hard to get himself back on track. Through our work together, he found the support, accountability and emotional space he needed to rebuild momentum. He got back into the gym, took action around work, explored relationship closure, became more socially active, and described feeling “ten times better” and more fulfilled in daily life.
Integrating a powerful life-changing experience
After a profound inner experience, Matt came to coaching looking for support to make sense of what had opened up and how to live with the insights that followed. Through our work, he found a grounded, non-directive space to reflect, feel supported, and give shape to an experience that could otherwise have felt difficult to navigate alone.
From burnout and low mood to structure, confidence and future direction
When Sadia started coaching, she was in a low place after ongoing burnout, a difficult work environment, and personal challenges. Through the work, she found a compassionate space to process what had happened, reconnect with herself, and begin rebuilding structure, confidence and motivation. Over time, she developed habits and practices that helped her feel more grounded, future-focused, and ready to move toward work or study again.
A Calm, Warm Space to Navigate Inner Life
Phil shares how coaching offered a safe, reassuring space to talk through personal material, navigate his inner life, and begin approaching the things he needed to tackle with more self-trust.

Here are a few more reflections from clients navigating change, uncertainty, and questions of identity.
From difficult life events to hope, clarity, and authenticity
I came to Rob having experienced significant life events that hadn’t been fully processed. For much of my life, I had struggled with my mental health, and only later received a diagnosis of neurodivergence, which allowed me to reframe many of those challenges with greater understanding and compassion.
Reaching out to Rob initially felt like a real leap into the unknown. However, he created a calm, safe space where I could begin to attend to the parts of myself that had been asking to be heard, particularly around loss, grief and authenticity.
Rob walks alongside you rather than directing you. His style is characterised by thoughtful questions, careful listening, and allowing you to do your own work.
Through our conversations, I feel freer, more hopeful and with a renewed sense of energy. The impact has extended beyond me and has positively affected my family as well. I would encourage anyone considering working with Rob to take that step.

From uncertainty about work to clearer direction
"Working with Rob was effortless and allowed for exploration of career goals on my own terms. He is very attuned and natural, giving space for exploration and self-awareness. He is not an advice-giver and this leaves valuable room for discussions of personal growth based on your own values and vision for your life. I recommend anyone to work with Rob if you’re looking to explore value-driven career and personal decisions and delve deeper into self-awareness. Most importantly, Rob creates a fun and non-judgemental environment so that I looked forward to our meetings."

From career transition to greater clarity and direction
"Working with Rob is one of the best decisions made during the COVID period, was going through a career transition, Rob provided an exploratory and safe space which enabled me to navigate the changes. We were able to work together to align my future goals. I found him very adaptable because he adopted a mentoring/ coaching approach which allowed me to delve deeper into the why's of my choices. I was able to develop and improve my communication and facilitation skills. I would definitely work with and highly recommend Rob. His approach is people-centred, very interactive and visual."

The people I work with don’t usually come to coaching because everything is fine.
They come when something has shifted.
A role.
A relationship.
A career path.
A future self.
A sense of who they thought they were becoming.
The transitions are different.
But the deeper work is often similar: making sense of what has changed, reconnecting with who they are now, and finding a grounded way forward.
If you’re going through a major life change, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
